Our client is a well-established, London-headquartered alternative investment manager with a strong track record in European private credit and bespoke capital solutions for mid-market companies. With growing assets under management and a diverse global investor base—including pension funds, insurers, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds—the firm offers an entrepreneurial environment with direct access to senior leadership and investment decision-makers.
As part of a strategic growth plan, the firm is seeking a high-calibre Investor Relations professional with a strong business development focus to support capital raising and investor engagement across a suite of private market strategies.
Role Overview
This is a client-facing, commercially driven role suited to a proactive, relationship-led individual with experience in fundraising, investor relations, or institutional sales within the alternative investment or private markets ecosystem.
The successful candidate will work closely with partners and product specialists to deepen relationships with existing investors, develop new LP relationships across key geographies, and contribute to the evolution of the firm’s capital formation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support fundraising initiatives across private credit and structured capital strategies.
Identify, approach, and build relationships with institutional investors globally (including pension funds, consultants, multi-managers, and family offices).
Prepare high-quality marketing materials, investor presentations, and responses to DDQs/RFPs.
Manage the full investor lifecycle: from sourcing to onboarding to ongoing relationship management.
Collaborate with internal teams (investment, operations, legal) to ensure a seamless investor experience.
Represent the firm at investor meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Monitor market trends and investor sentiment to inform business development efforts.
Candidate Profile
Ideally, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in investor relations, fundraising, or institutional business development, preferably within private markets (e.g. private credit, private equity, or real assets
Demonstrated success in cultivating and converting institutional relationships.
Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and confident in a dynamic, high-touch environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in investor-facing materials.
Understanding of fund structures, private credit vehicles, and regulatory frameworks.
European language skills (especially German, French, or Nordic languages) are a plus but not required.
