We’re partnering with a fast-growing, forward-thinking bank in London looking for an ambitious Assistant Finance Manager to join their Financial Control team. 🎯 What You’ll Be Doing
Take ownership of general ledger integrity – ensuring accuracy across all accounts
Lead reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve issues
Deliver monthly MI reporting to Group with insightful analysis
Manage accruals, prepayments, and journals with precision
Support tax reporting (VAT, Corporate Tax, employment taxes)
Strengthen and evolve financial controls and processes
Play a key role in statutory accounts and audit delivery
Partner across teams (Treasury, Operations, Group Finance)
Get involved in exciting projects – new products, systems, and process enhancements
Review and support junior team members, helping elevate team performance
🧠 What We’re Looking For
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Strong experience in financial control, reconciliations, and reporting
Background in banking or financial services (highly desirable)
Advanced Excel skills and systems confidence
Naturally detail-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset
Confident communicator who can work with stakeholders across the business
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
