We are seeking an exceptional Finance Director to lead UK financial governance, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
This is a high-impact role working closely with the Group CFO, UK ExCo, Board, and Group Finance teams — ideal for a seasoned finance leader with deep experience in regulated environments.
🔎 Key Responsibilities
Hold SMF3 – Executive Director responsibility
Act as CASS Oversight Officer and Safeguarding Accountable Owner
Lead UK prudential regulatory compliance
Manage external audit for UK entities
Oversee statutory financial accounts preparation and sign-off
Deliver financial performance and regulatory reporting to ExCo, Boards, and Group
Lead and develop a small team (1 direct report)
Operate effectively within a matrix environment with shared service support
👤 Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with:
Strong experience preparing and signing off statutory accounts
A background in regulatory reporting within Payments, Banking, or Financial Services
Experience preparing and approving regulatory submissions
Exposure to FX and derivatives (accounting + regulatory aspects desirable)
A track record in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Ability to provide insightful, action-oriented analysis to senior stakeholders
Confidence navigating a matrix environment with distributed teams
